Squad Swimming Program
Competitive Squads
Our competitive structure is comprised of 5 levels. The levels are designed to advance your child from Transition Squad right through to High Performance. Swimmers are encouraged to compete regularly to assist in the development of competitive technique / skills. Minimum training session and official time requirements apply.
Squad Outline
Transition Squad – Duration 40min (1+ sessions)
Bronze Squad – Duration 50min (2+ sessions)
Silver Squad – Duration 1hr 20min (3+ sessions)
Junior Elite – Duration 1hr 30min (4+ sessions)
Gold Squad – Duration 1hr 30min (5+ sessions)
Please Note: Squad members must register with KRB Aquatics and compete at KRB Race Day
Additional Squads
Blue Squad – Duration 50min (Non-competitive)
Blue Squad is a targeted fitness squad designed for swimmers (12 – 15) who would like to further develop their swim technique, speed and fitness for aquatic sports such as surf, water polo and school swimming. Swimmers in this squad will continue to focus on developing competitive technique and are encouraged to participate at club race day. Once swimmers in Blue Squad turn 16 they will swim in the Adult Squad.
Target – Improved results at school carnivals, surf carnivals and water polo fitness & speed.

Adult Squads – Duration 1hr
This squad caters for all levels of adult (16+) swimming. Participants should be able to swim freestyle competently for at least 100m. All four strokes are offered, although none are compulsory. The coach will provide stroke correction, training and competitive advice.
