Baby’N’Me Program
Our Baby ‘N’Me program is designed for children 6 months to 3 years of age. A parent or carer is required to accompany the baby/toddler in the water for the duration of the lesson. The emphasis of these classes is on building confidence, developing fundamental motor skills while engaging and learning through fun and games.
Guided by an instructor, lessons are informative, organised and engaging, allowing the children to splash about, watch other children, have fun and learn from the experience. At 30 minutes per lesson, our lessons are designed to work with the child’s attention span and energy levels.
Tadpoles
6-12 months
This is our introductory Baby’n’Me level. Tadpoles become familiar with the water, start developing cognitive and sensory function through songs and games.
Frogs
12-24 months
Frogs learn the fundamentals of paddling, kicking and floating, along with basic water safety and confidence techniques. Parents are taught different techniques to develop submerging (breath control) readiness for their children. Nursery songs are used to engage the children and provide positive associations with swimming, so be prepared to sing.
Seahorses
2-3yrs
This is the final level of parent assisted classes. In this class, the emphasis is on increased mobility, floatation, safe entries and safe exits. Children also develop submerging independence in preparation for pre-school levels.
